A Story Steeped in Sound
Surrey BC based artist, Natalia has had a busy few years creating. Originally focused on creating a touring music career, Natalia shifted gears to focus on creating art that encompasses music, words, & film. It has become a wonderful trio of her artistic forms. During the lockdowns, Natalia was able to record her newest album.
Natalia’s evolution into film has allowed her another element in her art form allowing for better story telling. Alongside with her producer Murray Yates, Natalia has honed her sound to be ever modern while retaining her love of everything vintage. This has enabled Natalia to challenge the boundaries of genres and sound - enabling Natalia’s imagination to create stories where she hopes others can find shared experiences in a broken world. It has paid off, Natalia is honoured to have over 38.4k plays of her music on Spotify in 2021.
Nat's Jazz House is a concept album; contemporary introspective reflecting on 21 century women romantic experiences as a soundscape through a post modern jazz-pop sound. She is honoured to have some Canada’s top artists collaborate on the album including Gold Record Holder Murray Yates, Trumpeter Chris Davis, Vancouver Symphony’s Jennie Press, Second Assistant Concertmaster, & cellist/bassist Emilio Suarez.

Maria’s Records is proud to announce the release of Natalia Pardalis’ new single “Tongue Tied”
The Surrey-based boutique independent record label is excited to promote Natalia Pardalis’ new single “Dream” to be released on February 18,2024.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Single - Friday Night is part of Natalia’s innovative crossover album of jazz, pop and hip hop sounds, Nat’s Jazz House. This album is inspired by conversations between good friends at a bar about their successes and lack of success in romance.
Natalia is releasing this album in a non-linear non-traditional way. This is the 7th track of the album.
“Friday Night” is about putting on your lipstick with hopes to possibly meet that special person on friday night.
During the 2010 Olympics, Natalia found a little red umbrella (which later became a little red dress in the track as it worked better poetically) which had became the symbol of her adventures during the Olympics. The running joke among Natalia and her friends was that the umbrella had magical abilities to create the best random adventures. There are many random tweets that were posted during that time. And yes, like every love song, the song is based on a true story - how Natalia’s friend met her future spouse during the Olympics.
Then during the lockdowns of 2020, Natalia had a dream where the umbrella & the love story joined forces. The dream appeared as a musical production on Granville Street in downtown Vancouver. “Basically it was a big musical number that you might see in a technicolour musical of the 1950s. I woke up chuckling to myself and wrote down as much as I could remember thinking it could be a song before passing out again.” Natalia commented. Then in the morning while her coffee was brewing she organised & completed the poem. Normally, Natalia’s music and poetry come together for her but she couldn’t hear the music so she took the poem to her producer Murray Yates and together they co-wrote the track.
Friday Night was recorded and produced in Vancouver B.C at Echo Studios. It comes out on Sunday February 18th 2024.
We are currently looking for interviews to promote Friday Night.
